On the Bench

This picture totally strikes my funny bone.  My baby in a Bumbo on a bench with a .....cat.  I know it should have been a b word so it could fit my theme, but no bears came wandering by.

Here's the cuteness up close:
It's hard for me to believe surgery was only four days ago. I don't think I'd be smiling yet.

Cats Are Not Cooperative

Andrew would say, "Duh!" to that statement, but I really think a little cattitude is a good thing, except when it comes to pictures.  I just don't understand why my cat doesn't want to pose with my two year old?  This was as good as it got, even with Bryn acting as the cat whisperer.

So in love

Oscar is in serious, undeniable, head over heels love...with me.  I'm blaming it on pregnancy pheromones or something like that, because Oscar has never, ever had this level of need to be with me.  If I watch TV, he's on my lap.  In bed at night, he's on my side (not my side of the bed, my actual side of my body), or my head or my legs or snuggled right up under my chin.  He follows me around the house and looks sadly up at me when I don't pick him up.  Strangely, Andrew isn't jealous.  I guess he's just not taking Oscar and his interspecies love affair very seriously.

Group Shot

Claire really wanted her picture taken with Oscar.  Too bad Oscar doesn't want to be anywhere near her.  She likes the picture anyhow.

My Cat, the Addict

We're having a hard time getting Oscar off the Wii.  Today he even stole Owen's pajama top so he could look cool while playing Super Mario.  He was so busy with his game, he wouldn't even look at me for a picture.Yeah, my cat's an addict and I'm not afraid to admit it.

OR....Claire was up puking last night, so I didn't want to leave the house today, and I was really bored and cranky, and dressing the cat in pjs entertained me for a few short minutes, and then I didn't have to pay attention to real life.  Something like that, or the cat is an addict.  You pick.

Bright Sundays

Our Sundays are pretty laid back around here. Some church, some hanging out, some napping, some reading, some Owen playing the Wii on his head. Ever since cold weather hit, Owen has been taking out his physical antics on the couches instead of the swingset and trampoline. This is his current favorite viewing position.
