Chicks

Ella's class at school has hatched baby chicks and been watching them grow.  They go back to the farm tomorrow after school (sniff, sniff), so the class all wrote poems about them today.  Goodbye to Fluffy, Stretchy, ummmm I forgot their names...Ella, a little help here?

Up I go! Flap flutter flap!

My home is tiny let me out!

Peck! Peck! Peck!

I'm flying.

Tweet!  Tweet!  Tweet!

(And yes, the spellings and exclamation points are all hers.  Chicks can be very exciting!)

PS: Speaking of nature, Mother Nature got in on the April Fool's jokes this year as we had snow all day.  What is that all about?
